The blue, black and red strips form the artist's initial. The red, green and black strips form a woman's initial. Tena creates a closed world with no contact with the outside. They are hermits.

Tena thinks that abstract painting is a combination of colours and shapes. Drawing from a previous sketch, the lines can be straight or curved, and some other times the lines are drawn with no premeditation.
'Jorge Gomes, a good friend who was always interested in art, told me: Hey, you have to really put garbage bags in your painting, and I named the painting after this joke'.

Memories of a trip to Egypt that Tena never made. Nevertheless, his brother, cousins and grandparents did make the journey.

For Tena, words are sometimes put together, to make sentences or expressions, perhaps with no meaning but they might bring us back childhood memories.

In a puzzle, all pieces do not always fit in together. Doubt is part of our life. Tena thinks that truth will eventually appear through doubt.
